After completing your flight training (PPL, CPL or type rating), you can rent the helicopter you are qualified on and build flight hours on your own pace
Build Confidence and Experience
If you completd your training elsewhere, an initial check flight with one of our instructors is required. During this flight, you will demonstrate safe aircraft handling and become familiar with our operation methods, local procedures, and facilities.
Helicopter rental
We rent out the following types of helicopters:
- Guimbal Cabri G2;
- Robinson R44 Raven II;
- Eurocopter EC120B (only with instructor).
Conditions
To rent a helicopter for self-fly hourbuilding (including flights with passengers), the following currency requirements apply:
- You must have completed at least three approaches and landings on the same helicopter type within the 90 days preceding your rental flight; and
- You must have logged a minimum of two flight hours within the 60 days preceding your rental flight.
If you do not meet one or both of these requirements, a check flight with one of our instructors is mandatory prior to the rental. This short flight allows you to refamiliarise yourself with the helicopter and ensures safe operations.
The check flight will be charged and includes helicopter rental, start and landing fees, and the instructor’s fee. This procedure is conducted strictly in the interest of flight safety.
All European Heli Center helicopters are fully insured (all-risk). Please note that a deductible applies. Contact us for full details of the insurance terms and conditions, as well as options to reduce the deductible.
